About me.

Jacquelynn Ware is a national recording artist, vocalist, actress, and licensed music therapist residing in Pittsburgh, PA. Currently, Jacquelynn is just finishing up directing her very first Virtual Voice Seminar while studying Traditional Irish Music, and recording an album. Jacquelynn regularly carts her keyboard all over town to perform as a hired vocalist for a plethora of different functions. Recently, Jaquelynn has performed as a soloist with the well-known Pittsburgh band, Cello Fury. Jacquelynn is currently excited to be singing with Voces Solis, Western Pennsylvania's premier chamber choir. She has also performed at Heinz Hall with members of Pittsburgh’s Mendelssohn Choir for the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra 2018 World Tour and as a soloist and studied as a vocalist in the Anúna International Summer School in Dublin, Ireland.

Jacquelynn is regularly hired as a vocalist to lend her versatile vocal abilities to many albums for local and international artists alike. Jacquelynn has performed as a backing vocalist on Emmy Award Winning Recording Artist FRZY’s album, God, King, Slave... among many others.

Jacquelynn’s very first experience on a film set was as a featured background actor in the Universal Pictures movie, Ted… and she was hooked! She has been auditioning and working on film sets ever since. Jacquelynn has worked in a variety of different settings in the film world and considers herself a professional auditioner at this point! Jacquelynn has also interned as a music supervisor for Playtone Production Company in Los Angeles, owned by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman. Most recently, Jacquelynn has wrapped her character of Jack in the production Red Woods filmed in the back woods of Pennsylvania. Jacquelynn has a Master’s Degree in Music Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley Unviersity in Cambridge, MA. In music therapy Jacquelynn has worked in psychiatric care and resident care facilities. Her background as a licensed therapist greatly informs her approach to teaching. She values the individuality of each student that comes to singing lessons and works to develop the singer as a performer, musical technician, and person.

For her undergraduate degree, Jacquelynn was awarded a  scholarship to study Vocal Performance at  Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. During her time at Berklee Jacquelynn performed in many of Boston’s esteemed music venues such as the Berklee Performance Center, Jordan Hall, The Red Room at cafe 939, & Boston’s Symphony Hall in a variety of musical settings from musicals to rock shows.  During her time in Boston, Jacquelynn also performed as a member of the New England Conservatory Chamber Singers and Concert Choir.

As an instructor Jacquelynn teaches her students about the proper vocal techniques necessary for optimal vocal health and ability. Jacquelynn works with students garnering a multitude of varied musical interests and helps to give them the tools they need to become the best musicians they are capable of becoming. Jacquelynn’s students have been awarded scholarships and gone on to pursue degrees at Duquesne University, Berklee College of Music in Boston, and Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain, Catholic University, Belmont University, Seton Hill, University of Syracuse, Temple University…to name a few.  At the middle school and high school level many students have been accepted into Lincoln Park Performing Arts Academy and various pre-college musical theater & vocal programs, such as the Junior Mendelssohn Choir, the PMT pre-college program, and Pittsburgh Youth Choir, and musical theater intensives at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Furthermore, students have also studied in the Anuna International Summer School in Dublin, Ireland, received prizes for accomplishments in local singing competitions, opened for national recording artists (performing only original music), been cast in lead and ensemble roles in both school and private musical theater programs, and some students have even found success on Youtube.
